Automatic Meter Reading (AMR) is a technology that automates the collection of consumption data from meters and transfers it to a central database for billing, monitoring, and analysis—eliminating the need for manual meter reading.
This system improves accuracy, streamlines data collection, and enables advanced analytics such as consumption patterns, peak demand analysis, and load forecasting.
It also supports real-time alerts for conditions like overloads, tampering, power theft, and meter faults.

- Meters connected to a Gateway that collects and organizes consumption and generation data automatically
- Loadsurvey File – stores detailed meter readings for a single day, in 15-minute intervals, with 96 blocks per day
- Midnight File – records daily generation values at midnight, creating a monthly file containing 30 to 31 daily records
- Modem device securely transfers the Loadsurvey and Midnight files from the Gateway to the Control Center Server
